The Sports Federation Union of Catalonia has hosted the awards ceremony for the SISE Awards, one of the pillars of the European Green Team project, aimed at transforming sport into a more sustainable, inclusive and socially responsible space.
The project, led by the UFEC with the participation of international organisations, has developed training resources—such as manuals, videos and an online course—that various organisations have applied in their SISE events. This process has enabled new ways of organising competitions that are more environmentally friendly and more accessible to everyone.
During the event, three SISE Awards were presented to organisations that have stood out for their genuine commitment to sustainability and inclusion: the Catalan Sports Federation for Cerebral Palsy (FECPC); the Catalan Federation of Underwater Activities (FECDAS); and the Catalan Hockey Federation.

The awards recognise projects that have successfully integrated good environmental practices, accessibility improvements and awareness-raising actions that bring sport closer to all citizens.
The cash prizes have been made possible thanks to the collaboration of Ecoembes, which supports initiatives that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility.
With this recognition, the Green Team project takes another step in consolidating a new European model that integrates sport, environmental education and inclusion, reinforcing the idea that sport can be a transformative force for society as a whole.
